On February 24th, PMG’s Susan Cherian and Elise Buck joined 765 fellow sponsors and supporters at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, DC for the Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic annual Wish Ball, their largest fundraising event of the year.
This gathering of wonderful and giving people, including generous corporate sponsors, individual and in-kind donors, and auction participants joined forces to contribute more than $1.5 million to support Make-A-Wish’s mission to make dreams come true for local kids facing critical illnesses.
Tommy Austin, one of the original co-founders, shared his story of how he and three others started Make-A-Wish back in 1980 by helping a 7-year-old boy, Christopher James Greicius, who was battling leukemia and wanted to become a police officer. His Phoenix community came together to make his wish come true. Little did Christopher know that his wish would create a movement that would transform millions of lives.
Congratulations on another successful Wish Ball, Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic! PMG is honored to partner with such an incredible organization and a truly dedicated team.
If you’d like to learn more or help them fulfill even more wishes in 2024 (for every wish granted, there are three more children with critical illnesses whose wishes need financial support), visit Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic or follow them on Facebook.
