We have a new intern! Olivia Eley has joined us as part of The Nonprofit Alliance’s (TNPA) new internship program. Olivia is a third-year student at the University of Maryland (UMD) double majoring in Marketing and Information Systems. We are so excited to welcome her to the PMG Team!
One thing’s for sure: Olivia is an active volunteer. At UMD she serves as co-chair of the Political Power Project and generated the best event participation in years. As co-leader of the Student Success Leadership Council she works to support academic excellence among Black students.
During her internship with PMG, Olivia will engage in projects across all units of The PMG Family with ongoing supervision and guidance from the staff. She’ll receive training in all our practice areas and even participate in some of our marketing efforts. She’ll also get the chance to dive into a project of her own to design or develop a fundraising campaign – we can’t wait to hear her ideas!
Olivia is one of the first interns to come out of TNPA’s Leading E.D.G.E. (Elevating Diversity & Guiding Employment) Internship Program, which launched this Spring. Its goal is to highlight up-and-coming DC/Maryland/Virginia university students with an interest in entering the nonprofit world of social good. The students gain valuable experience not only from the companies they intern with, but also from TNPA’s orientation and programming that delivers additional experience and engagement.
We’re excited to be a part of this internship program that helps students grow professionally. We know Olivia will bring a fresh perspective to our projects this summer, and we look forward to seeing what she will accomplish during her time with us.
